About The Garlic Press
The Garlic Press is an online literary magazine for extra pungent poetry and prose—by which we mean vivid, mean sticky and raw, mean flavorful, biting, sharp-edged. We’re looking for work that stings us awake and leaves us revitalized, fortified against the viruses of apathy and inattention; work that burns and heals us simultaneously, like the whole, butter-white clove your mother might urge you to inhale to scorch away a sore throat.
We’re more concerned, in other words, with how a particular submission affects us than with where it comes from or how it looks. We’re happy to accept excellent pieces from writers at any stage of their career, in any genre, in traditional or experimental forms.
